The late afternoon sun threw long shadows across the concrete apron. Hoses lay in neat stacks near the training yard. A rack of tools stood against the wall. The smell of diesel, rubber, metal, soap, old smoke, and coffee lived in the building like it paid rent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Silas stood at the edge of the apron in full wolf form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dark charcoal fur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gray along the shoulders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Amber eyes fixed on the bay floor like it might give him instructions if he stared hard enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He wore reinforced work pants and a sleeveless shirt Mark had adjusted again after declaring the previous version \u201cfunctionally acceptable but structurally irritating.\u201d The tail opening sat right.
