Sweating. Shaking. Rapid breathing. Repeated confused statements. Searching behavior. Some of you wrote action movies with paragraph breaks.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Brent looked down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hale\u2019s eyes moved to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYes, Talley, I mean you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Brent muttered, \u201cUnderstood.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hale lifted a page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI would have secured the subject.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He looked at Brent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou were not there.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Brent\u2019s face reddened. \u201cIt was hypothetical.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSo is my patience.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ross coughed into one hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gabriel smiled at the table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hale set Brent\u2019s page down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cReports are not where you prove you would have been brave. Inference is what those observations suggest. Assumption is what you filled in without enough support. Action is what you did or did not do.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her gaze moved to the trio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cFor some of you, observation includes information most people cannot perceive.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thane\u2019s ears angled slightly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gabriel leaned back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mark\u2019s pen moved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Voss continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThat does not make it useless. It does make it easy to write badly.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hale picked up Thane\u2019s page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thane\u2019s stomach dropped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He hated that his stomach did anything at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hale read aloud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAt QuickMart, male subject smelled panicked, not aggressive.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The room went very quiet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gabriel looked at the ceiling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mark closed his eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thane stared at Hale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hale looked up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTry again before a defense attorney frames this and hangs it in court.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A few applicants laughed carefully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thane folded his arms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt was true.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Voss nodded. \u201cProbably.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cProbably?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou detected panic. That matters. But a report has to show someone else why that conclusion was reasonable.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI can smell it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI know,\u201d Voss said. \u201cThey cannot.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thane looked at the board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Voss tapped <strong>OBSERVATION<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWrite what made you think it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cass spoke from the side, quiet but clear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThat\u2019s what EMS taught us.
