class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The hospital had a heat-safety booth where a nurse was cheerfully terrifying teenagers with facts about dehydration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A parks employee in a sun hat refilled a kiddie pool near the splash pad while three toddlers treated the hose like a religious event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And near the small stage by the oak trees, a regional 80s cover band ran a sound check.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They were good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thane could tell from the first
