Biscuits. No Drama.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>It didn\u2019t look like much. That was the point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inside, the lights buzzed faintly, the air smelled of bacon grease and strong black coffee, and a couple of truckers nursed their breakfasts in the back booth. Nobody looked up when the <strong>Feral Eclipse crew<\/strong> walked in \u2014 nine figures total. Three barepaw werewolves. Six very tired humans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No churros.<br>No flash mobs.<br>No goats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just the low scrape of chairs and the soft clink of ceramic mugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>From behind the counter rose <strong>Mabel<\/strong> herself \u2014 an older woman with a no-nonsense face, a streak of gray in her thick braid, and the presence of someone who\u2019d once broken up a bar fight using only a broom and her voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She narrowed her eyes at the incoming crowd, then called to the kitchen without breaking her stare:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cPhones off. That\u2019s not a suggestion.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The waitstaff, mostly teenagers and sleepy line cooks, nodded without protest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mabel turned to the crew, arms folded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cI know who you are. But you\u2019re customers here. Not a show. You get food, peace, and no cameras. That work for you?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Thane, still shaking off sleep, gave a low nod. \u201cVery much.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>The whole pack settled into two large corner booths they pushed together\u2014<strong>Thane, Gabriel, and Mark<\/strong> flanked by their human bandmates <strong>Cassie, Maya, Rico, Jonah, Emily<\/strong>, and <strong>Diesel<\/strong>, who somehow looked even more road-weary than the wolves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Coffee was poured.<br>Plates were stacked with hashbrowns, eggs, thick-cut bacon, biscuits drowning in gravy, and fluffy pancakes. Emily got a veggie skillet that didn\u2019t even look sad. Diesel didn\u2019t say a word but nodded in approval after his first sip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No one took a photo.<br>No one asked for an autograph.<br>No one even whispered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just the low hum of a classic country radio and the faint clink of forks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was\u2026 <strong>peace.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>At one point, Cassie softly said, \u201cThis place is magic.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rico nodded. \u201cMabel\u2019s a force of nature.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mark didn\u2019t say anything \u2014 he just ate his hashbrowns and looked suspiciously relaxed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emily leaned on her arm, smiling faintly. \u201cI kinda needed this more than I realized.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even Gabriel wasn\u2019t bouncing off the walls. He sat curled into his corner, tail flicking contentedly, sipping his third cup of coffee like it was holy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>When the meal was over and everyone started gathering their stuff, <strong>Thane<\/strong> lingered behind.
