But after one particularly chaotic gig at a dive bar with a sketchy fog machine and a stage no bigger than a shower mat, everything changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mark, from the lighting booth, later described it as \u201cthe musical equivalent of watching someone discover they could breathe fire by accident.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Backstage, post-set<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Jonah sat with an ice pack on his face and a smirk that said he wasn\u2019t mad about it. \u201cWell\u2026 turns out I\u2019m a better drummer than a lead vocalist anyway.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cassie was still shaking. \u201cI thought I was gonna puke.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Gabriel clapped her on the back. \u201cThen why\u2019d you sound like a war goddess?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI blacked out.
