10:36 PM<\/strong> \u2013 Lone Star Pavilion \u2013 VIP Lounge Tent<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The show was over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The stage was dark, the fog finally cleared (mostly), and the massive Dallas crowd had spilled out into the night\u2014howling, sweaty, and blissfully destroyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But in the VIP tent just off to the side of the venue, the chaos was far from over.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A hundred lucky fans stood behind velvet ropes clutching signed posters, merch, vinyl, and in one case, an entirely too-realistic Gabriel plush<\/strong> someone swore they handmade (the claws were frighteningly accurate<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cassie peeked into the tent and immediately turned back to the others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cThey\u2019re chanting already. One guy\u2019s got Rico\u2019s face painted on his chest.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Rico didn\u2019t even blink. \u201cWas it flattering?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maya was doing her best not to laugh. \u201cDepends. Is your nose usually upside-down?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

The band filed into the tent to a wave of cheers and camera flashes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jonah was the first to get swarmed, immediately asked to sign a rubber chicken<\/strong>, a churro wrapper, and someone\u2019s forearm<\/em> (to be tattooed later, apparently). He handled it like a pro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cHey! You get a signature! You get a fist bump! You get a hug that smells like fog machine and trauma!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Rico and Maya took opposite ends of the line, high-fiving fans, posing for selfies, and fielding questions like \u201cWhat conditioner do you use?\u201d and \u201cAre you secretly dating?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maya: \u201cNo, and stop shipping me with Jonah or I will<\/em> find you.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\n

Jonah: \u201cRude. You\u2019d be so lucky.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Cassie had a long, deep talk with a young girl in a denim vest covered in hand-painted lyrics. The kid burst into tears halfway through and Cassie just held her for a full minute. No cameras. No words. Just quiet connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Gabriel, meanwhile, was pure chaos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He signed a bass upside-down<\/em> just to prove he could.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He took a selfie where he licked the camera lens and then apologized by licking the fan\u2019s cheek (with consent, of course).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He let one kid try on his signature necklace and screamed louder than the kid did<\/em> when it looked like it might fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At one point he spun around, tail flicking, and shouted:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWHO BROUGHT THE TACO PLUSHIE?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

A small hand rose near the back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cThat was me! His name is Cruncho Two!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Gabriel collapsed to his knees dramatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cI AM NOT WORTHY OF YOUR LOVE.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Back near the edge of the tent, Emily was working the crowd with a camera, snapping candid moments between fans and the band\u2014quiet hugs, insane requests, unfiltered joy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And behind her, just barely visible in the shadow of the gear cases, stood, Thane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Out of view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smiling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Watching the wolves hold court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He could hear the laughter, the music still echoing in people\u2019s bodies, the stories already forming in their memories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He didn\u2019t need recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He had this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

As the night wound down and the final fans hugged their way out of the tent, someone left behind a tiny card on the table next to the leftover snacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A little hand-written note that simply said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cThank you for making the noise that keeps me going.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

None of the band saw who left it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Thane did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
