Like, <em>hard.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thane blinked, half-dressed and half-awake. \u201cTrending what?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cassie turned her phone around. \u201cEverything.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#FeralEclipse<\/strong><br><strong>#AlphaMark<\/strong><br><strong>#ClawTheStage<\/strong><br><strong>#RocklahomaRoyalty<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There were videos. <em>So many videos.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The bonfire acoustic set.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The entire crowd howling during <em>Howl With Me.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mark\u2019s no-nonsense takedown of the Vandal Saints, now with 2.4 million views and counting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A slowed-down montage of Gabriel signing a shoe and dramatically handing it to a crying fan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A meme of Jonah with nachos photoshopped into epic battle scenes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Then came the articles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Rolling Rock<\/strong>: <em>\u201cWho the Hell Are Feral Eclipse \u2014 and Why Are They the Only Band That Mattered at Rocklahoma?\u201d<\/em><br><strong>AltPress<\/strong>: <em>\u201cWerewolves in the Wild: Feral Eclipse Eviscerates the Stage and Social Media.\u201d<\/em><br><strong>Billboard (yes, Billboard):<\/strong> <em>\u201cFeral Eclipse May Be the Real Future of Live Rock.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Their inboxes exploded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cassie\u2019s was filled with interview requests.<br>Rico\u2019s had podcast invites.<br>Jonah\u2019s had\u2026 two separate nacho sponsorship inquiries.<br>Gabriel got <em>DMs from verified artists,<\/em> including John Petrucci, a guitarist he\u2019d worshiped in high school who just wrote:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cDude. You <em>killed.<\/em> Let\u2019s collab.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Mark\u2019s phone buzzed once. A text from a private number:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cWould you be open to management representation? Call me. You\u2019ve got presence.\u201d<\/em><br>Mark grunted, locked the screen, and went back to eating his oatmeal.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>And Thane \u2014 Thane\u2019s inbox had several emails flagged as \u201cURGENT.\u201d One from a regional tour promoter. Another from a late-night talk show. One had the subject line:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cHave you considered a West Coast headline run?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Gabriel peeked over his shoulder. \u201cAre we\u2026 like\u2026 famous?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thane closed the laptop slowly. \u201cWe\u2019re something.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Out near the firepit, still smoldering from the night before, fans were already gathering again. One held a sign that read <em>\u201cNO CHAINS LEFT = NO STAGE LEFT.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another had already sketched Mark in charcoal on a torn pizza box like some kind of patron saint of intimidation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jonah dragged a folding chair into the center of the group and flopped down dramatically. \u201cSooo\u2026 we should probably figure out how to survive this.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cassie leaned against the van, sipping coffee with a slow, satisfied smile. \u201cWe don\u2019t survive it.
